Electronic RLC meter
Dvořák, Radim ; Hanák, Pavel (referee) ; Lattenberg, Ivo (advisor)
This work deals with measurement methods of passive components R, L ,C used almost in every electrical circuit. Work describes progress of choosing the right methods for measurement and also the process of designing the autonomous RLC meter with use of ATMEL microprocessor chips. The RLC meter will be powered from rechargable battery and will be able to measure primary attributes of RLC components.
Analysis of the earth dam monitoring of the water structure Karolinka
Koudelková, Eva ; Novotná, Jitka (referee) ; Pařílková, Jana (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the analysis of the monitoring of the Karolinka water reservoir earth dam. For the reason of seepage detected on the downstream face of the dam, the water reservoir was operated in a limited regime practically from its beginning. One of the most significant interventions aimed at reducing them was the installation of a sealing wall realized in 2013. Since 2011, the earth dam has been pilot-monitored by probes of the electrical impedance spectrometry method. The thesis deals with the processing of the data obtained by this method and with the comparison of the determined electrical conductivity of the dam soil with the data measured on the earth dam (temperature, water level in the reservoir, seepage) before and after installation of the sealing wall.
Monitoring the influence of concrete composition on abrasion resistance
Černá, Hana ; Novosad, Petr (referee) ; Bodnárová, Lenka (advisor)
This diploma thesis focuses on the resistance of concrete to abrasion with regard to the raw materials used for their production. In the theoretical part of the thesis are described admixtures, different types of aggregate and aggregate composition which influence the resistance of concrete to abrasion. In the experimental part, 15 different C30 / 37, S4 concrete formulations were proposed. Different types of aggregates - fecal gravel (Žabčice), biotic granodiorite (Olbramovice) and amphibolite (Želešice) have always been used in the recipes. Fine ground limestone, micro-silica, high-temperature fly ash and finely ground slag were ingredients that were added to the proposed recipes. Consistency was determined by the method of cone seating and the density of fresh concrete. In the hardened state, concrete density, compressive strength, bending tensile strength, tensile strength, watertightness, concrete absorption, and abrasion resistance were determined using the Böhm method and wide wheel method. The test specimens were tested after 7, 28, and 90 days of maturation.
Dynamic simulation of DC motor using FEM
Gottwald, Michal ; Huzlík, Rostislav (referee) ; Vítek, Ondřej (advisor)
My diploma thesis deals with a specific dynamic model of DC motor with the parameters obtained from the calculation and from the program using the finite element method. It shows how much accurate results can be achieved in the model, if you use only the values which can be measured, recorded and calculated on the engine. This thesis contens three parts. First part describes the structure and function of DC motor and the basic principle and the use of FEM. Next is calculation analytical and numerical parameters. The search parameters include torque, resistance and inductance of armature winding, resistance and inductance of excitation windings. The last part is dedicated to creating a dynamic model. Results from the dynamic model and measured values are compared in the conclusion of my thesis.
Investigation of intercalation of alkaline metals in electrochromic devices
Kortyš, Petr ; Špičák, Petr (referee) ; Svoboda, Vít (advisor)
This work deals with investigation of intercalation of alkaline metals in electrochromic devices by the help of the quartz crystal microbalance method. The general aim is to investigate the influence of molar mass and resistance on properties of vanadium pentoxide and tungsten trioxide electrochromic films. The main measuring method used for investigating of interacalation of sodium and lithium ions into these films is the cyclic voltammetry. Drawn graphs reveals that sodium and lithium ions shows different qualities during intercalation, particularly in participation of solvent, therefore, in the influence of molar mass and in structural changes in the films.
Continuous conductivity measurement of produced copper wire
Kozáček, Peter ; Hadinec, Michal (referee) ; Klusáček, Stanislav (advisor)
My project is about possibilities of conductivity measurement of copper wire. I focus on basic principles of conductivity measurement and their applicability for continues measurement. Also I focus on proposing methods which would be the most appropriate for continuing measurement of conductivity. Each individual method is based on basic physic principles. I compare these measurement methods from different important industrial point of views in this project.
Conceptual design of the conversion of an electric motorcycle
Roman, David ; Zeizinger, Lukáš (referee) ; Böhm, Michael (advisor)
The work is about the study of the current offer of electric motorcycles, individual structural elements, and the concept of using an electric motor and battery. Furthermore, the work compares the operating costs of conventional internal combustion engines and electric motors. The main part of the work is the calculation of the battery capacity for the motorcycle, which is converted from a conventional internal combustion engine to an electric motor and the selection of a suitable engine and battery storage concept, so that the dynamics of the motorcycle is not significantly affected.
DC/DC step-up converter for notebook
Škunda, Michal ; Klíma, Bohumil (referee) ; Červinka, Dalibor (advisor)
Given bachelor’s thesis devoted to a proposal and implementation of transducer STEP-UP for supplying of notebook in car. Introduction presents dividing of switching power supplies followed by a choice and a proposal of power supply. In this work we can find the specific proposal of inductor, the proposal of electronic connexion and the proposal of PCB layout. There is a software EAGLE used for the design of PCB layout. In the last part of work there are particular courses of current and voltage that characterize power supply pictured. The work contains measured load characteristic of switching power supply loaded by notebook as well. Notebooks need to have quality power supplies that is why there was a special attention paid to the quality of supply and its electric parameters.
